A counselling session will help you explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences in an effort to help you develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.

###My approach to counselling:

I consider trust, authenticity, and cultural competency to be the cornerstones of a successful therapeutic relationship. My approach to counselling is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and humour - I want to create a space in which every client is truly seen, heard, and understood for who they are. I operate from an anti-oppressive, strengths-based, intersectional, grief and trauma-informed framework. I am passionate about working with the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) community, and I am LGBTQIA2S+ affirming.

I approach wellness from a culturally responsive and holistic lens - this involves exploring the mental, emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual components in our lives. I draw on multiple theoretical orientations and techniques in order to create tailored treatment plans that effectively address every individual client’s unique needs.

I want to create a warm, inclusive, and non-judgemental space that promotes awareness and healing for every client I have the privilege of working with. Together we will work collaboratively to understand and define your goals, discover your strengths, and create meaningful change. My hope is that you feel supported, empowered, and optimistic at the end of every session.

Life can feel overwhelming at times. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of past traumas, navigating the complexities of your identity, or struggling with emotions that feel too big to handle. On the outside, you might appear to have it all together—but inside, it may feel like everything is unraveling. Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, but it’s also a powerful step toward healing and growth.

Therapy offers you a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. Together, we’ll uncover new coping strategies, build resilience, and help you regain a sense of control amidst life’s challenges.

My approach is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and a touch of humour—because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. I provide a warm and compassionate space where you can freely express yourself, knowing that your experiences and identities will be honoured. With a holistic, anti-oppressive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspective, I support individuals (18+), couples, and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities on their unique journeys.

Wherever you are in your healing process, you are welcome here—exactly as you are. Together, we’ll navigate the challenges, untangle the knots of your mind, and move toward self-discovery, acceptance, and healing.

My Availability: Tuesday evenings from 3PM to 9PM (virtual sessions only), Thursdays from 3PM to 9PM (virtual and in person sessions), and alternating Saturdays from 12PM to 4PM (virtual and in person).
